Rockford, Ill.- The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Friday that the National Hockey League club has recalled goaltender Carter Hutton from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.Hutton, 26, has compiled a 17-9-3 record, including two shutouts, and a .915 save percentage with a 2.50 goals against average in 32 regular-season tilts with the IceHogs this year. The netminder has been named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week twice for Rockford, after helping the IceHogs pick up five of six standings points (2-0-0-1) during Week 22 (period ending on March 4) and picking up wins in all four of his starts (4-0-0) in Week 17 (period ending on Jan. 22).The netminder has also appeared in 14 games with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye with 7-7-0 record.The Thunder Bay, Ontario, native has posted a 29-18-6 record with four shutouts in 58 career AHL contests with Rockford, Worcester (2010-11) and Adirondack (2009-10) following a collegiate career at the University of Massachusetts–Lowell.
