REDEMPTION TIME: ICEHOGS AT WOLVES TONIGHT

Rockford, Ill. – For the last time in 2011-12 the Rockford IceHogs travel to the Allstate Arena to take on their Midwest Division rival Chicago Wolves in an Illinois Lottery Cup matchup.

The action gets underway at 7:30 p.m. for the 11th of 12 meetings between the two clubs. Through 10 games against the Wolves this season the IceHogs show a 4-6-0-0 record, including 1-4-0-0 at the Allstate Arena.

Tonight’s game can be heard on 100.5 NTA FM, 1330 AM WNTA, or through icehogs.com beginning at 7:00 p.m. with the U.S. Cellular Pregame Show. The game can also be viewed on the web via AHL Live.

The Hogs dropped the last meeting against Chicago 6-2 on Feb. 11 at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Rostislav Olesz and Jimmy Hayes tallied for the IceHogs but Chicago rallied in the final 40 minutes with four unanswered goals to take the game.

Rockford is currently winless in four-straight games (0-3-1-0) and have dropped six of their last seven games dating back to Feb. 3. The lone victory came on Feb. 10 in a 2-1 win against the Chicago Wolves.

Winger Jeremy Morin leads the team with eight points (2g-6a) in 10 tilts against Chicago. Defenseman Brian Fahey is next in line with six points (1g-5a) in 10 games against the Wolves.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Feb. 25 vs. Milwaukee Admirals. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m. Rockford returns home to face the Admirals at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The first 1,500 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs Sock Monkey courtesy of BMO Harris Bank.
For every goal that the Rockford IceHogs score in 2011-12, IceHogs head coach Ted Dent will make a donation to children’s cancer research. BMO Harris Bank will also make a donation for every goal to the “BMO Harris Bank Goals For Grades”
